The University of Macerata - Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations invites young researchers to submit a project in response to the decree DM 201/2024 by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR).

The call is open to researchers of any nationality that:

-          are winners of an MSCA Individual Fellowships call, under the Horizon 2020 programme, or the Horizon Europe programme’s MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships; and have completed their project within the last 60 months;

OR

-          have received notice of the award of the “Seal of Excellence” for participation in a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships call in the last 24 months.

The funding of the MUR aims at projects submitted by "young researchers", intended as researchers who are not more than 40 years of age – or between 40 and 45 years, but, in this case, they must have completed the PhD no more than 7 years ago. The researcher shall be subject to one or more of the following conditions:

-          have never been a project P.I. (Principal Investigator);

-          have no experience in leadership and management of a research team;

-          not have or have never had a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) contract indefinitely as a researcher or tenured professor.

The researcher must submit a project proposal indicating an Italian Host Institution. If the proposal is funded, the researcher will be hired by the Host Institution.

The Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations proposes itself as Host Institution for projects on AI & Society, and in particular on:
